In May Key Stage 1 visited our local church, St Marys. They learnt about special items and areas within the church like the alter, the pulpit, the font and the beautiful stained glass window. You can see from our photos that they even took part in bellringing!
Here are the Dragonflies are investigating Friction. They are attempting to carry jelly cubes using chop sticks with cooking oil.
Read, Write Inc parent’s information morning
A big thank you to everyone who attended. We hope that this gave you an insight into our new scheme and how the children progress through it. Well done to our fantastic group of reception children who did a great job with helping us to demonstrate a typical lesson.
We hope to repeat a similar morning on a regular basis.

The 2011 Nativity Production ‘Grandpa’s Nativity’.
We hope you enjoy this selection of photographs from the Foundation Classes.
As you can see we made the most of the fine weather with plenty of outdoor activities. Our topic of ‘nursery rhymes’ was very successful- we hope that you enjoyed the jam tarts and art and crafts that your children have made. Please come in and take a look at the nursery rhymes display in the Bumblebees room at the end of the day.
Thank you for your attendance at parent’s evenings- there will be more opportunities to see your children’s learning journey books next term. We are currently enjoying a week of ‘fireworks’ activities and this will be followed by a mini focus on ‘Autumn’.
We will post more photos for you soon.
